We join NVIDIA Inception to improve our AI to Assess Plastic Pollution
As the volume of environmental data we handle grows, so does our need for world-class tools to decode the complex relationship between plastic pollution and the Blue Economy. Therefore, Universal Plastic is now part of NVIDIA Inception, a program that supports startups driving innovation through advanced technologies.
Universal Plastic is a science-tech movement. We created an App that transform plastic cleanups into verified, traceable ESG impact. With our product, the Become Blue Verification, we make ocean data visible, verifiable, and valuable for companies, institutions, and governments working to protect marine ecosystems. This means that when a company supports a coastal cleanup, we help show exactly where, when, and how much plastic was collected.
Joining NVIDIA Inception strengthens our mission. It enhances the way we use AI to detect, classify, and verify marine plastic pollution. With access to GPU-powered computing and cloud-based AI tools, we can process thousands of images from satellites, drones, and field teams, assess plastic concentration levels, and optimise collection strategies in high-sensitivity areas such as marine reserves.
Becoming part of NVIDIA Inception will support our mission by enhancing how we use AI to detect, classify, and verify marine plastic pollution. We now access world-class AI training and cloud-based GPU tools. These resources supercharge our ability to analyze marine plastic in real time. Our deep learning models can process thousands of images from drones, satellites, and field teams, recognize object types, assess concentration levels, and help optimize cleanup strategies for sensitive habitats like marine reserves.
