Teambuilding with Universal Plastic
Gijón, November 2025
Most teambuilding days look the same. Ours doesn’t.
At Universal Plastic, we take your team out of the office and into a shared mission. You learn together, collaborate in a natural environment, and create real impact for the ocean. The experience connects people, strengthens internal culture, and generates verified data that supports global science. Families are welcome to join, kids included, and dogs are part of the team too.
How the Day Begins?
We meet at the beach or at a nearby meeting point. After a warm welcome, we start with:
- A short workshop that introduces the basics of plastic pollution its effect on marine ecosystems
- Why reliable data is essential for solving the problem at scale.
- We also explain how the Universal Plastic app works and how every participant contributes to generating transparent and verifiable data.

The goal is simple: understand the purpose behind the activity and prepare the team for action.
Collect, Scan, and Collaborate

The cleanup becomes interactive and surprisingly engaging. Teams often get playful and competitive as they try to collect the most or find the most unusual object. What begins as a simple activity quickly becomes a genuine team moment filled with movement, fresh air, and shared purpose.
Kids get involved easily, and dogs usually think the whole event is designed specifically for them.

Brunch, Results, and Shared impact
After the cleanup, everyone comes together for a well-deserved brunch. Good food, drinks, and time to unwind and connect as a group.
Then comes the moment teams love most: Instant impact results.
We weigh all collected bags together and review the data inside the app. The results are visible instantly and your team receives a clear overview of the total impact created during the activity. You can use this impact summary for your ESG communications or internal reporting.

Closing reflection
We finish the day with a relaxed conversation about the experience.
- What did we discover?
- How does this connect to broader sustainability goals?
- What surprised us most?
It is a moment for reflection, shared insights, and a sense of achievement.
Why Companies Choose this Experience
Teams leave with a stronger bond, a meaningful memory, and a clear understanding of how their actions support ocean regeneration. Companies appreciate the ease of organization, the quality of facilitation, and the fact that the impact is officially connected to global science.
Every group receives a digital impact summary with metrics, photos, and highlights of the day. It is perfect for internal communication, social media, and sustainability reporting.
We limit the number of teambuildings we run each month to ensure a well-guided and high-quality experience.
Ready to plan your teambuilding day
