As part of the Oceans Week organized by the European Union in Brussels, Universal Plastic is proud to announce that it has been awarded as the best 2025 solution for the regeneration of our oceans by winning the Start-Up Battle of the European Union’s BlueInvest program.
The Blue Economy has become a priority for the European Union, recognizing its key role in global sustainability and responsible economic growth. The EU is driving initiatives to support innovative solutions that promote the sustainable use of marine resources, reduce pollution and encourage the regeneration of ocean ecosystems. Universal Plastic is at the forefront of this transformation, providing technological tools and real-impact programs to integrate companies into this new environmentally responsible economy.
1.Britt Trago at the Blue Invest session
Universal Plastic is a company committed to the Blue Economy, offering Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaigns for companies seeking to integrate environmentally responsible practices and improve their business metrics. Through our initiatives, we help companies align with the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 14, which seeks to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources.
2.Álvaro Bravo Pitching UP
Our technology allows recording accurate data of beach cleanups through an App, using Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain to digitally measure, report and verify (dMRV) marine plastic collection activities. This tool not only ensures transparency and traceability of actions, but also provides scientific-technological solutions to improve the efficiency of plastic cleanups in marine ecosystems.
We invite companies to join us in our mission to protect and regenerate our oceans. By collaborating with Universal Plastic, companies fulfill their CSR objectives and create marketing and communication campaigns around the oceans. This active contribution to the Blue Economy strengthens their corporate reputation while generating a positive impact on the environment.
